Red berry vine mainly used in the Valle Telesina, third in order of importance in the production area of Samnites red wines. The grape has peculiar characteristics, other than that of the homonymous Piedmont grape variety. The cluster is conical pyramidal; oval-shaped, blue-black colored.
The grape vinified alone, gives origin to the homonymy type of wine in the wines of DO Sannio.
The sensory profile of the Barbera grape wine has an intense ruby red color with clear purple reflections. Smell rich in ripe red fruits, undergrowth and rose fruits, with hints of plant notes. Full, intense, soft, tannic, with a fruity finish.
